Isla del Sol – Rosario Islands Day Pass (Family - Friendly)
A Calm, All-Inclusive Day Pass in the Rosario Islands — Choose Your Experience
Isla del Sol is one of the most trusted and well-organized island day trips from Cartagena — a classic Caribbean beach club experience inside the Rosario Islands National Natural Park, designed for travelers who want crystal-clear water, structured service, and a genuinely relaxing escape.
Whether you're traveling with kids, as a couple, or with a group that wants open bar included, Isla del Sol offers two day pass options built around the same core experience: private beach access, a seawater pool, sun loungers, and a traditional Colombian lunch — with the flexibility to add drinks all day long.
This is not a party beach club. Isla del Sol feels more like a Caribbean hotel day pass — calm, organized, and comfortable. Limited capacity per day keeps the experience relaxed and crowd-free.

No — all guests in the same booking must select the same pass type. This is Isla del Sol's policy to ensure smooth service on the island. If your group has different preferences, we recommend booking separately.
Is Isla del Sol good for kids?
Yes — it's one of the best family-friendly options in the Rosario Islands. Children under 3 are free, ages 4–10 pay a reduced rate, and the calm seawater pool and beach make it safe and enjoyable for all ages. The environment is relaxed and organized, not a party setting.
What are the mandatory dock fees and why aren't they included?
The dock fees cover the Rosario Islands National Park entrance (COP 31,500) and maritime insurance (COP 8,800) — mandatory for all passengers. These are government fees collected in cash at the pier and cannot be pre-paid or bundled into the booking price.
How far is Isla del Sol from Cartagena?
About 1 hour by boat from Muelle de La Bodeguita. The island is located inside the Rosario Islands National Natural Park — one of Colombia's most protected coral reef ecosystems.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If your experience is cancelled due to weather or sea conditions, you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no extra cost. We monitor conditions carefully and will notify you as early as possible.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 72 hours before departure. No refund for cancellations within 72 hours. Rescheduling is subject to availability.
Can I do snorkeling or visit the Oceanarium?
Yes — both are available on-site as optional paid extras. Snorkeling tours and Oceanarium entry can be arranged directly on the island. Contact us in advance if you'd like to pre-arrange a snorkeling add-on through CDT.

The seawater pool is the hidden advantage here — when the tide shifts and the beach gets rough, this is where the experience stays calm and enjoyable. If you're going with the Open Bar, pace yourself: the bar opens at 10 AM and you still have an hour of boat ride back to Cartagena at 3 PM.
